Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using New Chapter. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and New Chapter ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the New Chapter dating platform and all related services (collectively, the "Service").

By registering, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Community Rules.

2. Eligibility

If we discover that a user does not meet eligibility requirements, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate their account immediately.

3. Your Account

3.1 Registration

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your profile. False information — including fake photos, incorrect age, or misleading relationship status — violates these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us immediately at support@newchapter.love if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each person may hold only one active account. Creating duplicate accounts is prohibited and may result in all accounts being banned.

3.4 Profile Authenticity

Your profile must represent you genuinely. We encourage — but do not require — photo verification to build trust within our community.

4. Subscription Plans & Pricing

New Chapter offers four membership tiers:

All prices are in US Dollars and billed monthly. Pricing may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

5. Billing, Cancellation & Refunds

5.1 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you first subscribe. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your subscription automatically renews each month until cancelled.

5.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to your paid features until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused days in the current billing period.

5.3 Refunds

All subscription payments are non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days at support@newchapter.love and we will investigate promptly.

5.4 Free Trial Promotions

We may offer free trial periods from time to time. Trial terms will be clearly stated at sign-up. If you do not cancel before a trial ends, you will be charged at the standard rate for the selected plan.

5.5 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, your account will revert to the Free tier. You will receive email notification of any failed charge. We will attempt to retry the payment for up to 7 days before downgrading your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use New Chapter only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

7. Content Ownership

7.1 Your Content

You own the content you post on New Chapter (photos, bio, messages). By uploading content, you grant New Chapter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and use that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

7.2 What We Don't Do With Your Content

We do not sell your photos or personal content to third parties. We do not use your photos to train AI models (beyond the temporary photo verification comparison, which is not stored). Your private messages remain private and are not read by our team except as required to investigate safety reports.

7.3 Prohibited Content

You must not upload content that is: nudity or sexually explicit material, violent or threatening content, content that violates someone else's intellectual property rights, images of minors, or any content that violates applicable laws.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using New Chapter, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of certain warranties or liability — in such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Dispute Resolution

We want to resolve any issues quickly and fairly. If you have a dispute with New Chapter, please first contact us at support@newchapter.love. We will make a genuine effort to resolve the matter within 30 days.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or resolved through your applicable consumer protection authority, depending on your jurisdiction. EU residents may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

11. Termination & Suspension

You may close your account at any time from account settings or by emailing support@newchapter.love.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, our Community Rules, or applicable law. For serious violations (fraud, harassment, explicit illegal content), termination is immediate and without refund.

Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection rights under EU law apply regardless of any other provisions in these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
